The Goffs London Sale takes on a more slimmed down look on Monday as the company offers a catalogue of 22 horses minus a collection of breeze up horses that had been a feature of the sale since its inception in 2014. Although down on numbers and without a potential box office lot such as last year's G1 Tattersalls 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}), the quality is still well up there with some high class performers set to come under the hammer, many with engagements at Ascot throughout the week. One with a Group 1 entry as soon as Tuesday is lot 2 Ornate (GB) (Bahamian Bounty {GB}). The Robert Cowell trained sprinter has been declared for the G1 King's Stand S. and with a rating of 109 the 4-year-old gelding should have a rewarding career as an international sprinter. Lot 7 Lockheed (GB) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}) is another that boasts an impressive BHA rating of 108 and his recent second in the G2 German 2000 Guineas would make the William Haggas trained colt a lively candidate for Thursday's G3 Hampton Court S. Another offered with an entry to that race is Joe Murphy's 3-year-old Born To Play (Ire) (Born To Sea {Ire}). Lot 20 was narrowly beaten in the G3 Airlie Stud Gallinule S. at The Curragh on his last start and he also holds an entry in the King George V S. on Thursday. Lot 8 Absolute Bast (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) is already a valuable future breeding prospect courtesy of her win in the Listed Magnolia S. at Kempton in April and she could get the chance to augment her value if she turns out in the G2 Duke Of Cambridge S. on Wednesday.

In previous years the sale has offered several desirable broodmare/foal packages and this year is no different. Lot 18 Millevini (Ire) (Hawk Wing) is a half-sister to Classic winner Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) and will be offered in foal to Kingman (GB) with her filly foal by Frankel (GB) at foot. Lot 11 Baldovina (GB) (Tale Of The Cat) is already a proven Royal Ascot producer being the dam of G2 Queen Mary S. winner Ceiling Kitty (GB) (Red Clubs {Ire}). She will be offered in foal to Le Havre (Ire) with a filly foal by Muhaarar (GB) at foot.

Sunday saw a late entry to the catalogue with Joseph O'Brien's Band Of Outlaws (Ire) (Fast Company {Ire}), a winner of a maiden at Limerick on Saturday, to be offered as lot 23. The sale, in association with QIPCO, will commence at 5p.m. in The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
