Kitten's Cat Tributes His Sire in the Kitten's Joy

Kitten's Cat | A. Coglianese

Kitten's Cat provided a fitting tribute to his sire when scoring his second stakes victory in the Kitten's Joy Saturday. Eagerly tugging his way up to press pacesetting Clyde's Image through early fractions of :24.70 and :49.66, the dark bay battled stride-for-stride with Clyde's Image down the lane, edging ahead just in time to score. Graduating at second asking at Kentucky Downs Sept. 15, Kitten's Cat checked in third behind subsequent GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Oscar Performance (Kitten's Joy) in Belmont's GIII Pilgrim S. over a yielding course Oct. 1. Victorious in the Juvenile Turf Sprint S. on GI Breeders' Cup Classic day at Santa Anita Nov. 5, the sophomore was fourth behind Made You Look and Clyde's Image last time in this venue's GIII Dania Beach S. Jan. 7. The winner is the first foal out of Brushwork, who has a juvenile filly named Streak of Kitten (Kitten's Joy) and a yearling filly also by Kitten's Joy. She was bred back to the Ramsey's flagship sire. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.[bullet ad=”webb-carroll-another-wctc-grad”][bullet ad=”eqb-cardioclient”]
