Killa Instinct

Aidan O'Brien often reserves something a touch special for Leopardstown's G3 Killavullan S., and the race's winning-most trainer on 10 wins holds a strong hand in Sunday's renewal. Continuing a recent trend of pitching fillies in against the colts, the stable is represented by a decent one in Bye Bye Baby (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who beat the subsequent G3 Oh So Sharp S. scorer Altyn Orda (Ire) (Kyllachy {GB}) in a Newmarket maiden over this trip on Sept. 30 before collecting Navan's Listed Staffordstown Stud S. at a mile eight days later. She is joined by last Sunday's six-furlong Naas maiden winner Dramatically (War Front) and the colt Kenya (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), who had caused a deep impression at Cork at this distance 24 hours earlier when making all to win by eight lengths.

Outside of Ballydoyle, Jessie Harrington puts forward a live contender in Landshark (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}), who is upped in trip after a latest second in the G3 Round Tower S. over six furlongs at The Curragh on Aug. 27. While he was beaten six lengths by U S Navy Flag (War Front) there, subsequent events have put a shine on that form.
