Producing unprecedented fireworks on Day 2 of the Tattersalls October Sale in Newmarket, Lot 253, a filly by Galileo out of a half-sister to G1 Derby hero New Approach and a full-sister to multiple stakes winner Shinko Forest, stole the the show with a 5-million guineas final bid from Mandore International. The Mar. 30 filly is a full-sister to Was (Ire), winner of the G1 Investec Oaks. 5,000,000gns breaks the all-time record for a horse sold at a European auction and creates a world-record price for a yearling filly.
