    Breeder: C J Barham (QLD)
    Buyer: Gai Waterhouse/James Harron Bloodstock
    Consignor: Coolmore Stud, agent
Trainer Gai Waterhouse was an active bidder during the opening session of the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, purchasing eight youngsters, topped by the day's highest-priced offering, a daughter of Fastnet Rock (Aus). Offered as lot 20 by Coolmore Stud on behalf of Queensland breeders Chris and Jane Barham, the bay filly out of Legally Bay (Aus) (Snippets {Aus}) wound up selling for A$500,000 (US$525,753). She is a full-sister to Group 2 winner Jolie Bay (Aus). "She was probably the pedigree of the sale," Waterhouse pointed out. "Fastnet Rock is the absolute Australian champion sire. I was hoping to buy her, but that was our bid." The filly was purchased for a group of owners that includes David Henderson.

Lot 25, a colt by Fastnet Rock, originally failed to meet his reserve, but was later sold privately to Waterhouse for A$500,000. Also consigned by Coolmore Stud, the bay colt is out of Liberty Rose (Aus) (Royal Academy).
