A chestnut filly from the first crop of GISW Spring At Last (Silver Deputy), who breezed the fastest quarter-mile (:20 4/5) during the second under-tack show for the OBS June Sale of 2-Year-Olds and Horses in Training (video), was hammered down to Justin Casse, agent, for $320,000 Wednesday afternoon. Consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, hip 408 is a daughter of Zahwah (Rahy), who carried Godolphin blue to a third-place finish in the GIII Arlington-Washington Lassie S. back in 2000. In the name of his Stoneway Farm, Jim Stone acquired Zahwah in foal to Forestry for $160,000 at Keeneland November in 2006. He offered the mare with this foal in utero at the 2010 Keeneland January Sale, but took her home after bidding stalled out at $27,000.
