6th at BELNW1X  [1m]Winner: Bay of Plenty, c, 3 by Medaglia d'Oro
Bay of Plenty (c, 3, Medaglia d’Oro--Kotuku {GB}, by A.P. Indy) made it two in a row with a devastatingly easy victory at Belmont Park Wednesday. The dark bay colt was soon at the head of affairs, was always in control through fractions of :22.76 and :45.29 and pulled clear effortlessly in the stretch to win by 9 1/4 lengths as the 4-5 favorite. He completed the mile geared down in 1:35.97. Roman Approval (Roman Ruler) was second and Divine Energy (Tapit) overcame a troubled start to be third. Bay of Plenty, fourth behind GII Tampa Bay Derby winner Ring Weekend (Tapit) when stretched out to 1 1/16 miles second time out at Gulfstream Feb. 8, graduated by a front-running 7 1/4 lengths at that distance at Aqueduct Mar. 22. VIDEO. Lifetime Record: 4-2-1-0, $95,200. O-Godolphin Racing LLC. B-Darley (Ky). T-Kiaran McLaughlin.
