'Only' Leaves 'Em Lonely in Forward Gal

7th at GPXGII Forward Gal S. ($200k)  [7f]Winner: Onlyforyou, f, 3 by Malibu Moon
Glencrest Farm LLC's Onlyforyou (f, 3, Malibu Moon--Erhu, by Tactical Cat) ran her career record to three wins from as many starts with a convincing front-running victory in Saturday's GII Forward Gal S. at Gulfstream Park. The bay had gone favored in each of her first two trips to the post, validating 2-1 favoritism in her Nov. 10 debut over the Aqueduct main track before clearing her first allowance condition as the 4-5 chalk going six panels at Gulfstream Dec. 15. Best away in her graded-stakes debut, Onlyforyou dictated the terms while prompted along from her outside by Aurelia's Belle (Lemon Drop Kid). That duo raced through splits of :22.65 and :45.33, but Onlyforyou turned back that one's bid in upper stretch and kicked clear to score by four lengths. Aurelia's Belle held for second ahead of the rail-skimming Resistivity (Student Council) in third. Onlyforyou went seven furlongs over a fast main track in 1:22.50. Lifetime Record: 3-3-0-0, $188,100. O-Glencrest Farm LLC. B-Elm Tree Farm LLC & Popatop LLC (KY). T-Todd A Pletcher.
