Carrot Farm's Epiphaneia (Jpn) (Symboli Kris S) improved on second place efforts in the G1 Japanese 2000 Guineas and G1 Japanese Derby to get Classic glory in Kyoto's G1 Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger). Sitting a handy trip in third early, the favorite began to gain on the front-running Bande (Ire) (Authorized {Ire}) rounding the turn, and overtook that rival under minimal urging at the top of the lane. He was never challenged thereafter, drawing clear to win by five lengths from Satono Noblesse (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) and Bande. The final time for 3000 meters was 3:05.20.
