7th at BHPNW1X ($54k)  [6 1/2f (AW)]Winner: Sweet Lulu, f, 3 by Mr. Greeley
7th-BHP, $54,250, Alw, NW1$X, 3yo/up, f/m, 6 1/2f (AWT), 1:16 1/5, ft.
SWEET LULU (f, 3, Mr. Greeley--Successful Outlook {GSW, $110,720}, by Orientate) broke slowly but still came home 3 1/4 lengths the best in her six-furlong debut May 30, earning J “TDN Rising Star” J status (click here for more). Training sharply since that effort, the chestnut filly was sent off the 4-5 favorite in this second go. She was off half a step slowly from her inside post, but rushed up to press the pace along the rail as Ostourah (Teuflesberg)--a full to Trinniberg--took the field through fractions of :22.35 and :45.23. The pacesetter drifted out on the turn and Sweet Lulu surged through along the rail and powered clear before being geared down late for a 2 1/4-length victory. Ostourah held on for second. Sales history: $270,000 yrl '11 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $63,600. Click for the brisnet.com chart or VIDEO.
