   Part of a formidable Mark Casse-trained pair, Spring Venture was looking to bounce back from a fifth-place run in Gulfstream’s GII Forward Gal S. Jan. 26. The chestnut kicked off her career with three victories, including the GII Natalma S. and GIII Mazarine S. at Woodbine, but could do no better than 13th in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Stablemate Spring in the Air, meanwhile, winner of last term’s GI Darley Alcibiades S., was making her first start since checking in fifth in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Nov. 2. Prompting the pace before taking over on the far turn, Spring Venture was game in the lane to repel challenges from Spring in the Air and Toasting.
