Second in the GII Tampa Bay Derby when he last raced in Florida in March, Golden Ticket was looking for his first win since dead-heating with Alpha (Bernardini) at 33-1 in the GI Travers S. in August. He was third in the GII Pennsylvania Derby a month later, but checked in 11th in the grassy GI Hollywood Derby last time Nov. 25.
