She began to open up on the field after a half in :46.88 and, despite drifting out on the turn, ran away down the lane to win as much the best under a motionless Ramon Dominguez. A debut second at Belmont May 20, Dance Card scored by a half-length over track and trip July 6 and was coming off a 2 1/4-length victory at Saratoga Aug. 17.
