TDN MAGAZINE, The International Difference: Part III of A Painful Truth: "Welfare in Europe means to train the horse without any chemicals and make him race if he can face the challenge,” says France Galop's Dr. Roland Devolz. “In your country, welfare means to be allowed to use as many drugs as possible to ensure the horse will support training and race." Whose version is right? Part 3 of A Painful Truth examines North America's singular stance on medication. Download part three by clicking here.

Doctor Chit, a debut sixth behind subsequent GII With Anticipation S. hero State of Play (War Front) in a grassy Saratoga maiden last July, has been unbeatable at three. The bay romped by 8 1/2 lengths over the Keeneland Polytrack Apr. 14, then added a Woodbine allowance by three lengths last time May 12. Heavily favored to keep the streak alive in his dirt debut here, the bay was hustled after breaking a beat slow to set a pressured pace through fractions of :22.29 and :44.69. With Javier Castellano aboard, Doctor Chit had plenty left for the stretch despite briefly switching to his left lead, and went on to win for fun.
