   Probably was third behind "TDN Rising Star" Lines of Battle (War Front) on debut over this track and trip May 27 before taking a seven-furlong maiden at Limerick June 16. It was those extra stamina reserves that saw him prevail on a surface that had been described earlier in the afternoon by Aidan O'Brien as "national hunt ground," and by Johnny Murtagh as the softest he had ridden on at this venue. Racing close to the early pace in third, the bay was staying on at only one pace as the favorite Cristoforo Colombo swooped towards the rail approaching the furlong pole. Despite surrendering a seemingly unrecoverable lead to that rival, Probably dug in to reel him in the final 100 yards. For jockey Billy Lee, the win was a landmark one. "This is as big as it comes," he told Irish Racing Online. "That was a good performance from the horse and he traveled a lot better than he'd done at Limerick last time. The flat track here helped, though he hit a flat spot a furlong out. He's a nice horse and he'll get a mile." Trainer David Wachman added, "He's always shown plenty at home. He's a very good-looking horse with plenty of size and scope. He stays well and Billy gave him a very good ride--he's a very under-rated rider. Seven furlongs or a mile will be right up his street later in the year. He's a good, tough, solid, honest sort. He'll be a better three-year-old, he's a big horse. He's a good-actioned horse and he'd prefer better ground. He'll have a Group 2 penalty now and we'll aim at the stars, I'd suppose. He'll run in some of the better races in the autumn."
