TDN MAGAZINE, As the Science Gets Better, Catching the Cheats Becomes Easier: Part V of A Painful Truth: No matter the sport, cheaters have always stayed one step ahead of those trying to catch them by doping with as-yet undetectable products. But what if authorities didn't need to determine what the products were, only what the specimin should look like if unaltered by any drug? Meet the biological passport, and Travis Tygart, the man who has successfully routed out two of sports' most defiant cheats, Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones, neither of whom had ever tested positive.    Capital Plan, who began her career for Glen Hill Farm and trainer Tom Proctor, was purchased privately by Jerry Hollendorfer and Mark DeDomenico after breaking her maiden at Del Mar last summer. She earned the first stakes victory of her career when besting Cambina in the Apr. 21 GII Santa Barbara H. and was coming off a third-place effort in the May 28 GI Gamely H. The beneficiary of a heads-up Joel Rosario ride, the 4-5 choice was sitting several lengths off the pace as Victor Espinoza and Quaintly slowed things down to a crawl up front. Rosario took the early initiative to move his charge closer and was soon on the hip of Quaintly. They continued around the turn and into the lane like that, and just as Capital Plan shook loose, she was immediately tackled by the fast-closing Cambina, who got to within a nose at the wire.
