Yes It's True Half to GISW Visionaire Scores at Spa

7th at SAR  [5f]Winner: Wildcat Nation by Yes It's True

7th-SAR, $55,000, Msw, 2yo, 5f, :58 1/5, ft.
WILDCAT NATION (c, 2, Yes It's True--Scarlet Tango {SP}, by French Deputy), a half-brother to Visionaire (Grand Slam), GISW, $465,882, was a well-beaten eighth over this strip on debut July 29. Offering a reversal of form in this second go, the 7-1 chance was outsprinted in the early going as firsters Condemned (Speightstown) and Tiz Brian (Tiznow) ripped through :21.36 and :45.25 splits. Tiz Brian put away his rival in upper stretch, but couldn't counter the big late run of Wildcat Nation, who powered past on his way to a  3 1/4-length decision. Tiz Brian held for second over the fast-closing Strictly Society (Golden Missile). Condemnation faded to be last of 10. Visionaire also showed an affinity for Saratoga, having won the GI King's Bishop S. at the Spa last August. Wildcat Nation was a $400,000 KEESEP yearling. A yearling full-brother to Visionaire was purchased by Dogwood for $170,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale earlier this month. Click for the brisnet.com chart. Video, sponsored by Taylor Made. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $33,184.
