TDN MAGAZINE, The International Difference: Part III of A Painful Truth: "Welfare in Europe means to train the horse without any chemicals and make him race if he can face the challenge,” says France Galop's Dr. Roland Devolz. “In your country, welfare means to be allowed to use as many drugs as possible to ensure the horse will support training and race." Golden Mystery Sell Time Pushed Back at F-T
Click here to open this alert in a new page

Fasig-Tipton has announced that Farnsworth Farm’s Golden Mystery (m, 7, Awesome Again--Mysterious Angel, by Saint Ballado), who registered the first graded win of her career in Sunday’s GIII Hurricane Bertie S. at Gulfstream, will not sell in cataloged order at today’s Kentucky Winter Mixed Sale, and will instead be offered at the end of the sale. She is consigned by Hidden Brook as hip 175.

The reason for the push back in sell time is because the Marty Wolfson-trained mare isn’t expected to arrive on the sale grounds until 1:00 p.m. Golden Mystery shipped from Florida by van with another Farnsworth runner slated to sell, the racing and broodmare prospect My Other Girl (m, 5, Bernardini--Guilty Pleasure, by Pine Bluff), who will also sell at the end of the session. She’s consigned by Lane’s End as hip 254.

A statement from Fasig-Tipton read, "Given the timing of their arrival, we have consulted with their consignors and decided to offer them at the end of today’s sale. This will allow them to settle in on the sales grounds and provide potential bidders adequate time to for their evaluations."

Golden Mystery will be offered as the second to last horse through the ring and will be followed in by My Other Girl.
