TDN MAGAZINE, As the Science Gets Better, Catching the Cheats Becomes Easier: Part V of A Painful Truth: No matter the sport, cheaters have always stayed one step ahead of those trying to catch them by doping with as-yet undetectable products. But what if authorities didn't need to determine what the products were, only what the specimin should look like if unaltered by any drug? Meet the biological passport, and Travis Tygart, the man who has successfully routed out two of sports' most defiant cheats, Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones, neither of whom had ever tested positive.    R Gypsy Gold, a 7 1/2-length winner at Monmouth early in her 3-year-old season, was a credible third behind another Todd Pletcher sophomore, Buster's Ready (More Than Ready), in the GI Mother Goose S. Later in the season, the half-sister to MGSW Broadway's Alibi (Vindication) recorded a pair of wins over this track, including the 8 1/2-panel Real Prize S. Oct. 27 before rounding out the campaign with a sixth behind Awesome Feather (Awesome of Course) in the Nov. 26 GI Gazelle S. over nine furlongs at the Big A. In her only prior start this term, the E Paul Robsham homebred was a narrow second in the Mar. 17 Wayward Lass S. at Tampa and was given ample support to go one better here. Content to stalk a pumped up Tiz The Argument, who was pressed by a fresh Opus A, the bay began to inch up along the rail before being taken to the outside by Javier Castellano for the stretch drive. On even terms with Opus A as Tiz the Argument gave way along the inside, the fillies raced in tandem for a few strides before R Gypsy Gold forged ahead and was clear at the wire. The Pletcher/Robsham connection also teamed up yesterday for a first-out juvenile winner at Monmouth in the form of I Am Discreet (Discreet Cat).
