FUNNY PROPOSITION (f, 3, Medaglia d'Oro--Humorous Miss {SW, $115,200}, by Distorted Humor) led past every pole to take her debut over six furlongs of this track last Independence Day, but went missing thereafter. The $275,000 FTSAUG yearling blew the break in her Apr. 6 return to action over the Keeneland Polytrack, pulled her way into a share of the lead through the middle of the race and weakened slightly to be third. One of the first away, Funny Proposition was handy to the pace while stalking three wide into the backstretch. She began to creep forward midway on the final bend, edged to the front in upper stretch, switched her leads right on cue and went on to post a promising 2 1/2-length victory as the 9-5 chalk. Uptown Bertie (More Than Ready) was second best. Lifetime Record: 3-2-0-1, $62,540.
