Dr. Kendall Hansen and Skychai Racing's Hansen (Tapit--Stormy Sunday, by Sir Cat), the reigning Eclipse Award-winning 2-year-old male, has been removed from consideration from this Saturday's GI Travers S. at Saratoga. “He had some inflammation in his left front leg this morning and is not running,” said trainer Mike Maker said in a release. Perfect in three tries at two, including a nose win over Union Rags (Dixie Union) in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile, Hansen won the GIII Gotham S. and was runner-up in the GI Toyota Blue Grass S. before finishing unplaced in the GI Kentucky Derby. He made a successful return to action by 10 lengths in the GIII Iowa Derby June 30, but was most recently fourth as the heavy favorite in the GII West Virginia Derby Aug. 4.
