MGISW So You Think (NZ) (High Chapparal {Ire}--Triassic {NZ}, by Tights), who was scheduled to make his final start start in Saturday's G1 Coral-Eclipse S. at Sandown, was found to be lame after exercise Thursday morning and has been officially retired. A champion 3-year-old and miler in Australia and highweighted older horse in Ireland last term, the dark bay was found to have pulled a muscle in his hind quarter. He will enter quarantine Saturday as originally planned and will stand at Coolmore Australia at a fee of A$66,000.
"So You Think is an extraordinary horse and it was a real privilege to have had him here at Ballydoyle on loan from Australia," said Aidan O'Brien who took over the son of High Chaparral from Bart Cummings to win the last five of his 10 Group 1's.
"It's a big disappointment that he'll miss the Eclipse, but he's had a wonderful racing career and now it's time for him to shine at stud," said Coolmore Australia's Tom Magnier. "His book reads like a who's who of all the best mares and breeders so he'll get the best possible start."
