Kent Desormeaux has been replaced by Javier Castellano as Dullahan (Even The Score)'s jockey in the Belmont Stakes, according to Jerry Crawford, President of Donegal Racing. Desormeaux failed a breathalyzer test at Belmont Park on Friday, losing his ride aboard Preakness entrant Tiger Walk (Tale of the Cat).
"We have loved our association with Kent Desormeaux and hope to use him again in the future," said Crawford. "We are confident that Kent will address his issues and be back at the track better than ever and we hope to ride him when that happens."
Dullahan, the winner of the GI Toyota Blue Grass S., was third in the Kentucky Derby.
"In the meantime we are thrilled to have the services of the leading money winner in Javier....who just happens to know Belmont like the back of his hand," said Crawford.
