 There is very little left to say about the magnificent Black Caviar, who drew a sizeable crowd to Morphettville today to witness her set a new record of consecutive wins in her customary straightforward style. Sent off at almost generous odds of 1-20 on the back of her Feb. 18 G1 Lightning S. jaunt, she was quickest away before being handed a lead. Back in charge at the top of the straight as Luke Nolen let out some rein, she opened up to score by 4 1/2 lengths from Sistine Angel (Aus) (Testa Rossa {Aus}), with Power Princess (Aus) (Marwina {Aus}) a short head back in third. Black Caviar, who could be bound for the G1 Goodwood back here in a fortnight, now holds the Australasian metropolitan record ahead of the New Zealanders Desert Gold and Gloaming and has the 22-win record of the Queensland bush track performers Miss Petty and Sava Jet in her sights.
