Lady of Fifty, a four-length winner at first asking at Santa Rosa July 27, bounced back from an allowance defeat on this Tapeta to take the Golden Gate Debutante S. Nov. 5. She added the Corte Madera S. when stretched out to a mile at Golden Gate Dec. 3, and was widely expected to keep up the good work this time. Left alone while setting a soft pace and racing well off the fence, the grey filly shrugged off a bid from stablemate Sweet Nothings and kept on rolling for another black-type trophy.
