INTELLOGENT (IRE) (c, 2, Intello {Ger}–Nuit Polaire {Ire}, by Kheleyf), a €320,000 ARAUG yearling, laid handy throughout the early stages in third and was left in front at the top of the straight. Passed by the smooth-travelling Mind Mapping (Medaglia d'Oro) with 300 metres remaining, the 16-5 second favourite stayed on strongly to reel in that rival in the final strides and prevail by a head as they pulled 12 lengths clear of the remainder. The dam, who has already produced the listed-placed Lightupthenight (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}), also has a yearling colt by Excelebration (Ire) and a filly foal by Gleneagles (Ire). The winner is related to Sunday's G3 Baden-Wurttemberg-Trophy scorer Navaro Girl (Ire) (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}) as they share the same second dam Night Teeny (GB) (Platini {Ger}). A significant presence in her native Germany, she produced three black-type performers, with the most distinguished being the G2 Oaks d'Italia heroine Night of Magic (Ire), who in turn produced the dual G1 Preis von Europa heroine Nightflower (Ire) (Dylan Thomas {Ire}). Her G3 Fahrhofer Stutenpreis runner-up Neele (Ire) (Peintre Celebre) earned the title of broodmare of the year there in 2015 courtesy of the G1 Deutsches Derby hero Nutan (Ire) (Duke of Marmalade {Ire}) and she was also responsible for the G1 Grosser Preis von Berlin heroine Nymphea (Ire) (Dylan Thomas {Ire}) and as well as the aforementioned Navaro Girl. The third dam Nightrockette (Ger) (Rocket {GB}) produced the G2 Preis der Diana winner Night Petticoat (Ger) (Petoski {GB}), who threw a pair of Classic winners in her own mold in the G1 Deutsches Derby hero Next Desert (Ire) (Desert Style {Ire}) and the G1 Preis der Diana heroine Next Gina (Ger) (Perugino). Her dual listed-winning daughter Nina Celebre (Ire) (Peintre Celebre) is also the dam of Ninas Shadow (Ger) (Shamardal) who was runner-up in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup and Hong Kong Derby.
