All eyes will be on the comebacking 2017 GI Belmont S. winner Tapwrit (Tapit&log=">Tapit) in this six-horse affair. The $1.2-million FTSAUG yearling graduate returned to the worktab in April and sports a five-furlong bullet in :59 3/5 (1/17) at Belmont May 11. The 4-5 morning-line favorite was last seen finishing fourth in the GI Travers S. at Saratoga Aug. 26. “He's been training great,” trainer Todd Pletcher said. “He hasn't run in a while, but he's been training like he's good enough to run off the layoff. It's good to have him back and we're looking forward to getting a race into him. Hopefully, this is the start of a successful campaign for him.” Pletcher added that possible targets this summer for the gray include the GII Suburban H. at Belmont July 7. TJCIS PPs
