Haggas To Supplement Sea Of Class

A fascinating clash between the top two middle distance fillies of the last two seasons is on the cards for ParisLongchamp this Sunday following William Haggas's confirmation that Sea Of Class (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}) would be supplemented for the G1 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. “Yes, I think our plan is to supplement her,” Haggas said on Monday after 22 runners had been left in the race. “The weather forecast looks dry and we're happy with her, so that's the idea,” he added. Its nine years since Sea Of Class's sire landed the Arc carrying the same Tsui family colours and having proved her supremacy over her 3-year-old middle distance peers Sea Of Class will face another set of challenges on Sunday, taking on colts, her elders and indeed last season's outstanding 3-year-old filly Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}). John Gosden's filly made full use of her age and sex allowance last year to cap a fantastic winning run of five Group 1 victories in the Arc and she proved she had lost none of her dash when making a successful but belated re-appearance in the G3 September S. at Kempton last month. Her stable-mate Cracksman (GB) (Frankel {GB}) has also been left in the race but his preference for an ease in the ground leaves him far from certain to got to post given the current dry forecast.
