The Goffs UK Silver Yearling Sale, to be held at Doncaster on Aug. 31, sees a total of 149 yearlings catalogued. Past graduates of the sale, which is scheduled the day after the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale concludes, include reigning Cartier Champion Sprinter Quiet Reflection (GB) (Showcasing {GB}), while both Vik the Billy (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}) and Raydiance (GB) (Mayson {GB}) have also won black-type races this term, the latter saluting in the Listed Pat Eddery S. at Ascot Saturday.

A son of Havana Gold (Ire) (lot 471) should prove popular, as his sire just saw his first group winner, Havana Grey (GB), crowned in the boggy conditions at Glorious Goodwood in the G3 Bombay Sapphire Molecomb S. Wednesday. The Fernham Farm-consigned April foal is out of a daughter of MGSW Midnight Line (Kris S.), who was third in the G1 Epsom Oaks and second in the GI Gamely Breeders' Cup H. in her native land.

Mickley Stud consigns lot 488, who is by Multiplex (GB). He is out of the winning prolific producer Gagajulu (GB) (Al Hareb), who is already responsible for Group 3 winner Ardbrae lady (GB) (Overbury {Ire}), second in the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas and third in the G1 Moyglare Stud S.; and the listed winners Obe Gold (GB) (Namaqualand) and Radio Gaga (GB) (Multiplex {GB}), who were both placed at group level.

Ryehill Dreamer (Ire) (Catcher In The Rye {Ire}), a winner of the GII American H. in the States and the Listed Golden Fleece S. in Ireland, features in the pedigree of lot 531, his half-brother by Zebedee (GB). Consigned by Belmont Stud, the April-born colt is also a half to GIII Providencia S. third Nodiac (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}). Their dam, a winner in France, is a half-sister to G1 French 2000 Guineas hero No Pass No Sale (Northfields), French GSW Once in My Life (Ire) (Lomond) and SW and GSP No Lies (Ire) (Rainbows For Life).

“We saw greater demand for places in the Silver Sale this year but we took a more selective approach when compiling this catalogue and really focused on the individual, like we have done for many years with the Premier Sale,” said Goffs UK Managing Director Tony Williams. “This sale has proven its ability to produce Group 1 winners–its latest elite graduate the reigning Cartier Champion Sprinter and dual Group 1 winner Quiet Reflection. It has made a good start to the season with it's 2-year-olds, two of which have won at stakes level, so it's certainly a performing sale and one that is very quickly gaining traction with domestic and international buyers.”
