Goffs's two-day Horses-In-Training and Open Yearling Sale begins on Wednesday with the horses-in-training session. The sale received a timely boost on Tuesday when Heartbreak City (Fr) (Lando {Ger}), who was offered at the sale last year but was led out unsold at €15,000, finished a narrow second in the A$6.2-million G1 Melbourne Cup off a campaign that has included a win in York's Ebor H.
The sale, which begins at 2:30 p.m., features drafts from the likes of The Aga Khan Studs, Jim Bolger, Dermot Weld, Michael O'Callaghan, Joseph O'Brien, Jessica Harrington, Johnny Murtagh, Ger Lyons, John Oxx and Johnny Levins.
