+DAK ATTACK (c, 2, Ghostzapper&log=">Ghostzapper–Indian Spell {SW}, by Indian Charlie) took all the money for this debut and beat back a stubborn pacesetter to give Albaugh Family Stable and Dale Romans a sweep of the 2-year-old races on Churchill's twilight Thursday card. Showing an identical final pair of workouts to his winning stablemate Free Drop Billy from two races prior, the $625,000 Keeneland September buy broke sharply as the 1-2 chalk from the outermost of four posts and set up shop in second, two lengths off of Sporting Chance (Tiznow), through a :22.49 quarter. Cruising up to that one's flank at the five-sixteenths pole, Dak Attack took another quarter-mile to put the front-runner away, but did so in the final 100 yards, edging clear to a 1 1/4-length success. The runner-up was trained by D. Wayne Lukas, who also conditions the second-place finisher behind Free Drop Billy. The victor is the first foal out of a dam who produced a colt by Kitten's Joy last term. His second dam Proud Spell (Proud Citizen) captured the GI Kentucky Oaks and GI Alabama S. in 2008 on the way to champion 3-year-old filly honors. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $28,020.
