Gettinng the message approaching the final furlong, the 5-1 shot rolled by Meagher's Flag (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) 100 yards out and hit the line the ultimately cosy winner by 3/4 of a length. The winner is a half-brother to the G1 Middle Park S., G1 Prix Morny, G2 Norfolk S. and G2 Prix Robert Papin-winning multiple highweight Reckless Abandon (GB) (Exchange Rate), and to this year's G2 Tokyo Hai Aoba Sho runner-up Best Approach (GB) (New Approach {Ire}), MGSP-Jpn, $436,503. The dam, who also has a yearling filly by Kingman (GB), is a half to two top-class performers in Ticker Tape (GB) (Royal Applause {GB}) and Brando (GB) (Pivotal {GB}). The former needs little introduction as the heroine of the GI American Oaks Invitational and GI Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup, while Brando significantly enhanced his reputation last month by winning the G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest.
