Frankel's Fee Raised to £175K

Frankel | Juddmonte

Frankel (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) will stand for an all-time high during the 2018 season, commanding £175,000 at Banstead Manor Stud near Newmarket, Juddmonte Farms announced Tuesday. Standing for £125,000 for his first five seasons, the unbeaten sire sensation's oldest foals are only 3-year-olds, but he is already the sire of Europe's highest rated horse in training, Cracksman (GB), who won the G1 QIPCO Champion S. on British Champions Day in fine style to end his season. Cracksman is not along among Frankel's Group 1 winners, with Japanese filly Soul Stirring (Jpn), a champion juvenile filly in her native land after winning the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies, maturing into the G1 Japanese Oaks winner at three.

Stud Director Simon Mockridge commented, “Frankel has had a sensational start with his first two crops, and 2017 has seen him described as being one of the most elite sires in the Northern Hemisphere. His strike rate of 12% group winners to foals is remarkable, and his 2014 crop has produced 13 group winners so far, a number matched only by Galileo in the Northern Hemisphere. A quarter of Frankel's runners to date have won black-type–with his tally of black-type performers currently standing at 30.”

Joining Frankel will be Dansili (GB) (Danehill), who has sired 20 Group 1 winners to date and will once again be available for £65,000 with a restricted book, while Classic winner Kingman (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) is another whose fee holds steady at £55,000. He will have his first runners in 2018. Bated Breath (GB) (Dansili {GB})'s oldest foals are only 3-year-olds and have performed with credit, resulting in a £10,000 fee for 2018, £2,000 higher than 2017. Oasis Dream (GB) (Green Desert) rounds out the roster at £30,000.
