Foal Numbers Up In 2016

The numbers of foals registered in both Great Britain and Ireland up to the end of September are up on this time last year, according to the Weatherbys Return of Mares. The number of foals registered in Ireland thus far stands at 8,792, up by 587 (7.15%) from the same time last year. A total of 4,597, up by 131 (2.9%) have been registered in Great Britain.

Foals have continued to be registered since Sept. 30 and complete numbers will be available in the Weatherbys Return of Mares Supplement, published in early February 2017. For more information, contact Nick Craven ([email protected]).
