First Stakes Winner For All Too Hard

All Too Hard | Vinery

First-season sire All Too Hard (Aus) (Casino Prince {Aus}) notched his first stakes winner on Saturday when Segenhoe Thoroughbreds homebred Curdled (Aus) took Doomben's Listed Winning Edge S. The Peter Robl-trained gelding was breaking his maiden in his sixth start.

Curdled was initially hammered down to Shadwell for A$300,000 at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, but ultimately was retained by Kevin Maloney's Segenhoe Thoroughbreds after failing a post-sale scope, according to Breednet.

All Too Hard sits third by earnings on the Australian first-season sire table and becomes the fifth first-season sire to sire a stakes winner in addition to Pierro (Aus), Your Song (Aus) Excelebration (Aus) and Needs Further (Aus), each with one. All Too Hard, a four-time Group 1-winning half-brother to Black Caviar (Aus) (Bel Esprit {Aus}), stands alongside his sire at Vinery.
