Fairest Of Them All

Fair Eva | Racing Post

Arguably the most impressive of all the progeny of Frankel (GB) seen out so far, Khalid Abdullah's Fair Eva (GB) arrives at Ascot on Saturday with much expectation following behind as she tackles the G3 Princess Margaret Juddmonte S. after outclassing the subsequent Listed Empress S. winner and G2 Duchess of Cambridge S. third Nations Alexander (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) over this trip at Haydock June 8, the daughter of the operation's high-class sprinter African Rose (GB) (Observatory) has all the boxes ticked with just the opposition to worry about.

“It will be a very tough race, but she's a nice filly and I've been pleased with the way she has trained,” revealed trainer Roger Charlton. “She was pretty impressive first time out and at the time we didn't know the second was going to win a listed race and indeed was beaten a length in what was the Cherry Hinton, so the form is pretty good. The third horse was five or six lengths behind us and has won twice, so the pressure is on.”

“She's highly rated, she's a nice filly and I hope for the owner's sake she can run really well,” Charlton added. “I would have liked to have another confidence-building race, but we are into the big time now.”

Only a half-length behind Roly Poly (War Front) when second in the Duchess of Cambridge at Newmarket last time July 8, the chief Irish raider Magical Fire (Ire) (Dragon Pulse {Ire}) holds the fourth-placed Kilmah (GB) (Sepoy {Aus}) on that form and warrants respect. Another who has experienced the heat of battle at a higher level already is Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum's Kocollada (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), who was fourth in the G2 Queen Mary S. over five furlongs at Royal Ascot June 15.
