Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show Slated for Sept. 23-24

The Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show will hold their annual hunter/jumper show September 23 & 24th at the Fair Hill show grounds, Elkton, MD. Hunter classes take place Saturday and jumper classes on Sunday. In addition to fine riding and exciting competition, the 2016 show featured a popular silent auction, and awarded more than $11,000 in prize money. This year's competitors will also have the opportunity to enter a drawing to earn one of 15 spots in a clinic that will be led by Silvio Mazzoni. Mazzoni is a successful international Grand Prix rider and trainer with a history of showing significant improvement in horses and riders within the show jumping discipline.

Riders will be selected at random to participate in the clinic being held October 7 & 8, presented by The Boudinot Foundation and hosted by Hilltop Farm.

“The Fair Hill Thoroughbred Show was created to raise awareness of the plight of the off the track Thoroughbred, said the event's president, Lisa Demars. “We encourage the re-homing and retraining of these horses by supporting and rewarding riders for selecting a Thoroughbred as their sport horse mount.”
