Fair Grounds Race Course will partner with the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association (LTBA) Dec. 10 to offer eligible college students a chance to win one of six $1,000 scholarships on Louisiana Champions Day. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the scholarship drawing registration continues until 1:30 p.m. for an extended window to ensure as many students as possible are able to enter. In order to be eligible to receive one of the scholarships, students must be enrolled full-time in the Spring 2017 semester and must be in good standing with the college or university. Three drawings will take place throughout Saturday's card.
“We're honored to be able to award hard-working college students with scholarships to further their education in tandem with bringing awareness to the horse racing industry,” said Fair Grounds Track President Tim Bryant. “The Fair Grounds team truly enjoys giving our future leaders a fun and unforgettable experience while visiting our historic property.”
