Enable In, Limato Out

As expected Juddmonte Farms have paid €120,000 to supplement their brilliant filly Enable (GB) into Sunday's G1 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly. The four-time Group 1 winner has been a short favourite for the race for some time now despite not previously holding an entry for the twelve furlong contest. Her addition to the race brings the maximum number of potential runners to 20. In other Chantilly news one horse who will not be appearing is Henry Candy's Limato (Ire) (Tagula {Ire}). The 5-year-old won last year's G1 Qatar Prix de la Foret but his well documented aversion to soft ground has seen connections bypass Sunday's seven furlong contest. “He does need top of the ground and it looks like it's going to be the opposite,” said Henry Candy's wife, Virginia. “He's got engagements at Ascot, Redcar and the Challenge Stakes at Newmarket. Should we get some fast ground, that would be fantastic. Chantilly's not going to be like that,” she added.
