Editorial (War Front–Playa Maya, by Arch), a half-brother to top sire Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), has been acquired by Climax Stallions and will enter stud for the 2018 breeding season.

Bred by the Playa Maya Syndicate, Editorial missed by a head on his 7 1/2-furlong debut over the Gulfstream turf course Apr. 29 before going one better in his most recent appearance over that course and distance June 15 (video).

“We are very excited for the opportunity to stand Editorial at stud as he fits our program perfectly,” said Sean Feld, Managing Director of Climax Stallions. “Under the care of Todd Pletcher for Coolmore, Editorial displayed an impressive turn of foot which you always look for in a top sire. He has a phenomenal pedigree and the looks to match, he should thrive in the breeding shed,”

Editorial joins a stallion roster at Climax that also includes second-leading active California sire Haynesfield (Speightstown); Frankel (GB)'s half-brother Bullet Train (GB) (Sadler's Wells); and Curlin to Mischief (Curlin), a half-brother to Into Mischief (Harlan's Holiday).

A stud fee and location will be announced at a later time.
