The lightly raced but gifted filly Dunbar Road (Quality Road) will be the one to catch in Saturday's GII Mother Goose S. at Belmont. Peter Brant signed the ticket on the bay for $350,000 at the 2017 Keeneland September Sale and she rewarded her connections with a dazzling 8 3/4-length maiden victory at Gulfstream Mar. 3. Facing stakes company for the first time in the GII Gulfstream Park Oaks S. Mar. 30, she fell a half-length short of catching GI Kentucky Oaks starter Champagne Anyone (Street Sense). After failing to draw into the Kentucky Oaks field, trainer Chad Brown placed her against allowance company here May 30, to which she responded with a resounding 5 1/2-length score, earning a 90 Beyer in the process.

Alexis Delgado's Jeltrin (Tapizar) is the lone graded stakes winner in the field of six. The bay pulled off a 51-1 upset rallying late to capture the Mar. 2 GII Forward Gal S. at Gulfstream before fading to 10th when attempting two turns for the first time in the Kentucky Oaks. Jeltrin rebounded with a strong third to 'TDN Rising Star' Guarana (Ghostapper) in the June 8 GI Acorn S. Jeltrin recorded a half-mile breeze over the Long Island oval in :49 2/5 (10/20) June 24. “She worked well and is very adapted to Belmont, so everything looks OK to run,” owner/trainer Delgado said to the NYRA notes team.

Recent GI Preakness S. and GI Belmont S. winning trainer Mark Casse sends out Wings of Dawn (Medaglia d'Oro) for longtime client John Oxley. The $600,000 Keeneland September buy makes her stakes debut after snagging consecutive wins, including a 4 1/2-length romp in a May 19 optional claimer over Woodbine's synthetic surface.
