Dubawi's Raseed Swoops For Noailles Score

Raseed | Scoop Dyga

Raseed, who hit the ground running when successful tackling seven panels in a July 17 Maisons-Laffitte maiden on debut, ran fourth in an Oct. 8 conditions test at Saint-Cloud before regaining the winning thread over nine furlongs on the artificial surface at this track in his only other start last time Oct. 30. To the fore early here before allowing supplemented distaffer Valkena to poach a 10-length advantage, he quickly reduced those arrears once shaken up passing the two pole and exhibited impressive acceleration in the closing stages to register a first black-type score as More Than A Dream swamped the enterprisingly ridden pacesetter for second nearing the line. “I wanted to run him earlier in the year, but the ground was much too soft, which he hates, and I'm very happy with the outcome,” explained conditioner Freddy Head. “The going was perfect for him today and he quickened like I expected he would. He could only beat what was before him and he did it well. Of course, the target is the [June 5 G1 Prix du] Jockey Club [back at this track] and he'll probably have one more run beforehand. I don't know where or when that will be as I want to see how he comes out of this race first.” The winner's second dam Wissal is a full-sister to G1 Champion S. third Bahhare (Woodman) and a half-sister to MG1SW European highweight Bahri (Riverman).
