Darley announced their 2017 European stallion fees for a roster that features nine new stallions across three countries. Heading the roster is the brilliant Dubawi (Ire) (Dubai Millennium {GB}), sire of Postponed (GB) among many others, who will stand for a fee of £250,000 at Dalham Hall next year. His Irish counterpart, Shamardal (Giant's Causeway), will stand for a private fee again this year.
Among the newest offerings, the most expensive to retire for 2017 is former champion 2-year-old Belardo (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) who will stand at Kildangan Stud for a fee of €15,000.
An interesting addition to Haras du Logis in France is Australian champion 3-year-old Exosphere (Aus) (Lonhro {Aus}), shuttling from Australia. The Group 1 winner broke records over both six and seven furlongs and will stand for €6,000. The Last Lion (Ire) (Choisir {Aus}) showed admirable toughness during a 10-race juvenile season that was capped by a win in the G1 Juddmonte Middle Park S. and he joins the Irish squad for €12,000.
Helmet (Aus) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}) became the only European first-season sire this year to register a Group 1 winner when Thunder Snow (Ire) won the G1 Criterium International at Saint Cloud on Sunday and his fee has risen to £10,000 from £8,000.
Fast Company (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), responsible for 2016 G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting (Ire) from his second crop, moves from Overbury Stud to Kildangan Stud in Ireland and will stand for €7,000.
