KING HUMOR (c, 3, Distorted Humor–Taptam {GISP, $575,338}, by Pleasant Tap) was a $50,000 purchase at last year's OBS June sale after breezing a furlong in :10 flat. Dispatched at 5-1, the bay quickly rushed up to take command along the rail through an opening quarter in :22.36. He felt the pressure to his outside from Bella Tapisserie (Tapizar) throughout the far turn before finding another gear at the quarter pole and kicking away in the final furlong to score by four lengths. This is the first winner out of Taptam, who was a MSW and was second to Champion Zenyatta in the 2010 GI Apple Blossom H. at Oaklawn Park. She was purchased for $150,000 at the 2015 Keeneland November Sale. She also is responsible for a juvenile filly by Super Saver, a yearling colt by Oxbow and was bred back to that Calumet stallion. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $25,800. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
