Davidoff On The Move

Davidoff | Haras de Saint Arnoult

French stallion Davidoff (Ger) (Montjeu {Ire}) will transfer From his original base at Haras de la Kammerholtz in Lorraine to Haras de Saint Arnoult at the heart of Normandy. The 13-year-old stallion has been in the headlines recently through the exploits of his Willie Mullins trained son Saturnas (Fr) who won the G1 Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown over Christmas. His owners, the Van Haaren family, who had been using him for their own mares almost exclusively since 2010 explained,  “We wanted to keep this stallion in France, because he has an exceptional pedigree and breeders here are more and more looking to use already proven jump sires. On the other hand, our stud is way too far away for most breeders, so we wanted to stand him at a stud in Normandy, at a more popular location. We are very pleased to have been able to strike a deal with the Haras de Saint Arnoult for the 2017 covering season. Larissa Kneip, the owner of the farm, was precisely looking for a jump sire to add to her existing band of stallions.”
