Dariyan to Stand at Haras de Bonneval

Group 1 winner Dariyan (Fr) (Shamardal–Daryakana {Fr}, by Selkirk) will join the Haras de Bonneval roster in 2017, the Aga Khan Studs announced Monday.

A homebred for H. H. the Aga Khan, the 4-year-old captured the G1 Prix Ganay at Saint-Cloud this May and ran second in the 2016 G1 Prix d'Ispahan. Also victorious in the 2015 G2 Grand Prix Maisons-Laffitte Eugene Adam, Dariyan ran with credit to take third in the G1 Longines Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin last December. He retires with a mark of 13-4-4-1 and earnings of $872,592.

The first foal out of G1 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase heroine Daryakana, Dariyan is a half-brother to French stakes winner Darabad (Fr) (Dansili {GB}). His second dam is Classic and MG1SW Daryaba (Ire) (Night Shift) and this is the also the family of champion Darjina (Fr) (Zamindar) and Classic hero Almanzor (Fr) (Wootton Bassett {GB}).

Breeders are welcome to visit Dariyan at the stud in Normandy, especially during the Arqana October Yearling Sale, when a shuttle is available from the sales complex.

A fee for Dariyan will be announced later.
