Come September

'TDN Rising Star' September | Racing Post

After Churchill (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) graced the Listed Chesham S. last term, due respect must be given to anything Aidan O'Brien sends over and this time it is 'TDN Rising Star' September (Ire) (Deep Impact {Jpn}) who represents Ballydoyle. Successful by 5 1/2 lengths at Leopardstown on June 8, the daughter of Peeping Fawn (Danehill) is met by Godolphin's fellow 'TDN Rising Star' Masar (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}), who promised much when a narrow winner of his maiden on debut over six furlongs at Goodwood on May 25. “Masar won on his first start at Goodwood and the race has worked out very well,” trainer Charlie Appleby said. “He has done physically well and I think stepping up in trip can help eke out some further improvement. Coming into Saturday, I think we have a real live shot.”

Khalid Abdullah's Westerland (GB) (Frankel {GB}) is a half-brother to Showcasing (GB) and Camacho (GB) who is certain to stay this far on pedigree and on the manner of his latest last-gasp defeat of Hey Gaman (GB) (New Approach {Ire}) in a six-furlong maiden at Leicester on May 30.
