Channon Seeking A Win For 'Queen'

Mick Channon | Racing Post

Despite being placed in two Classics this season, the Mick Channon trained Harlequeen (GB) (Canford Cliffs {Ire}) has just a solitary win on her CV, something her trainer his keen to supplement. Winner of her only juvenile start in a Goodwood maiden last September, she has since posted two highly creditable third placings in the G1 Investec Oaks and G1 Darley Irish Oaks.

Reflecting on her latest run at The Curragh on Saturday and thinking about potential future options, Channon said, “She's proved she's a class act and I've no complaints about the result. She's yet to win a listed or group race so will carry no penalties and we need to get her winning again. It'll happen, it's just a case of taking stock before we decide on our next move.”
