Hong Kong's Centenary Sprint Cup has been upgraded to Group 1 status ahead of the 2017/18 racing season. The 1200 metre race at Sha Tin will also get a HK$2-million burst boost to HK$10-million (£995,948/€1,086,712). The upgrade of the Centenary Sprint Cup, which will be held on Jan. 28, brings the total of Hong Kong international Group 1s to 12.
