Trainer Mark Casse, bidding out back, secured a colt by Medaglia d'Oro for $700,000 early in Wednesday's third session of the Fasig-Tipton October sale. Casse purchased the youngster on behalf of a partnership. Consigned by Baccari Bloodstock, the yearling is out of Broadway Gold (Seeking the Gold) and is a half to graded stakes winner Broadway's Alibi (Vindication) and a full to graded stakes winner Golden Lad. SF Bloodstock purchased Broadway Gold, with this foal in utero, for $950,000 at the 2015 Keeneland November sale. He RNA'd for $475,000 at last month's Keeneland September sale.
